Cryptocurrency ban as a currency?
Today 29 November 2021 winter session started in which crypto is also addressed.
Our Union Finance minister Nirmala Sitaraman on Monday in parliament reply on question is that the government does not collect any data on bitcoin transaction ,it is also said that there no proposal to consider the bitcoin as a currency.
Currently there is no regulation or ban in crypto currency in India but according to lok sabha website they seeks to prohibit all private crypto currency with certain exception to promote the underlying technology and it's uses.
Rbi has strong opinion from the begining to ban all crypto currency and come with goverment owned digital currency (CBDC) .But prime minister in recently meeting said they need to regulate it .so these kind of contradiction is always existed so we have to wait and watch clear clarification from goverment side.
